I decided to create this photo journal as a way for the public at large to view photographs and learn about the Oneness Pentecostals or Apostolic Christians.

Another reason for this is to gain exposure for my work and expose the world to a little but unique segment of Christianity and at the same time I also seek to counter what seems to be a deliberate attempt at misrepresentation of Apostolic Christians, Christianity & the bible particularly by Hollywood, the mass media as well as other Christians and all those who oppose Gods plan for mankind.

I have never been at ease with how Hollywood & the media portrays Christians and Christianity. Granted Christians have brought about some of these consequences upon themselves there is no doubt about that but the fact remains that there are those of us who truly seek to be faithful to God, His word and follow the examples Jesus Christ left for us.

Nevertheless, I seek to show another side of Christians through my photographs and maybe even shed some light on some new things you don’t know about Apostolic Christians, I seek to portray a side rarely seen by the outside world. I seek to show everyday common and not so common people, people who have been raised in church all their lives as well as people who were never raised in one, I seek to show the new convert who comes to God not knowing what to expect but is seeking a relationship with a creator they do not know nor understand but yet feel led to seek, to fulfill & satisfy the innermost thirst & longing that a person experiences when searching for something or someone greater than themselves. I seek to show the repentant backslider or prodigal who at one time had a relationship with God walked away from God but then felt compelled to return to an altar of repentance & reconciliation. I want to show a complex series of emotions of people who are seeking to draw closer to their creator, a spiritual people with a deep desire to love other’s & each other and at the same time seeking to remain faithful to their calling.

I don’t expect everyone to understand what I’m trying to accomplish, I don’t expect everyone to agree with my work but if you will give me an opportunity & some time, then I hope that at some point you can realize that I am just another sojourner on this earth with a limited amount of time to fulfill my God given calling and to that end I will seek to fulfill that vision . Everyone is entitled to an opinion, everyone has been given the freedom to choose their own destiny & yet this is mine and I will express it through my photographs, thoughts & words.
